Studies on lipolytic enzyme in larval gut of Cabbage head borer Hellula undalis (Fab.) revealed optimum pH 7.7 incubation time 20 minutes, temperature 37°C, enzyme concentration 1% and substrate concentration 6% for optimum activity. The gradual increase in lipase activity was observed from 4 th day of larval growth, till 10 th day, thereafter it decreased.
