Abstract

Studies on Crateva roxburghii R. Br. and C. religiosa G. Forster were undertaken at Presidency College, Chennai during the years 2012–2022. The results revealed that both of the species had distinct vegetative and reproductive characters and thus C. roxburghii R. Br. can not be considered as a synonym of C. adansonii DC. ssp. odora (Buch.-Ham.) Jacobs.
