Abstract

During present study, Fusarium brachygibbosum was isolated from the host plant Maytenus emarginata (Willd.) Ding Hou. and employed for biosynthesis of extracellular silver nanoparticles (AgNP). The size of the nanoparticles ranged from 15 to 60 nm. These silver nanoparticles were found to be effective against Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium solani, Alternaria solani, Alternaria alternata, Botrytis cinerea, Pythium aphanidermatum and Sclerotinia scierotiorum. With the increase in concentration of silver nanoparticles, the percent inhibition increased.
