Abstract

Fish diversity at the Mula (Dnyaneshwar) reservoir of Mula river was studied during July 2021 and April 2022. Around 23 species of fishes, belonging to twelve families and eight orders were reported. Among them the species belonging to the order Cypriniformes were dominant (43.47%), followed by Perciformes (17.39%),Siluriformes (13.04%) and Characiformes (8.74%). The species belonging to Order Beloniformes, Synbranchiformes, Anabantiformes, and Osteoglossiformes were represented by 4.34% of the total species of fishes collected. Great seasonal variation in the fish diversity was reported during present investigation.
