Abstract

The salts of Heavy metals, released from human activities enter into aquatic ecosystems, out of which heavy metals are considered as hazardous pollutants. Present study was undertaken to investigate the scavenging activity of Coriandrum Sativum on the bioaccumulation of Mercury (Hgcl2), a heavy metal, in freshwater bivalve Lamellidens consobrinus. It was observed that the bivalves cured with coriander extract showed less bioaccumulation of mercury.
