Present study was undertaken to standardize the plant of Ipomoea triloba (L.) for quality, purity and identification. Macroscopic studies of parts of Ipomoea triloba (L.) colour, odour, size, taste, and arrangement of leave and stem of plants were observed. Microscopy of leaves, petiole and stem of the Ipomoea triloba (L.) plant revealed the presence of various important sections. These insights would be useful in the identification and authentication of this plant.
