Phytochemical compounds present in three medicinal plants, Cassia auriculata L., Tamarix gallica L. and Curcuma longa L. were evaluated in present study along with antibacterial activity against three pathogenic bacterial strains namely Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi and Staphylococcus aureus. The result of phytochemical analysis revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, tannins, carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, glycosides and saponins in all plants extracts. All plants extracts demonstrated antibacterial activity against tested bacterial strains. Ethanol extracts of leaves and flowers of Cassia auriculata showed strong antibacterial activity.
