Abstract

Gladiolus (Gladiolus Species) Is herbaceous plant belonging to the family Irldaceae. It is Important bulbous plant used for cut flowers. In Gladiolus flower production technology, dormancy of the corm Is one of the limiting factor for higher yields. Present Investigation was therefore undertaken wherein the corms were treated with various chemicals and growth regulators, and growth and quality of cut flowers, emerging from It was observed. The treatment with GA3 (200 ppm) was found to be the best for better growth and flowering.
