Pleurotus florida was cultivated on six different types of agro wastes viz., soybean straw, gram straw, sunflower stalk, groundnut straw, wheat straw and sugarcane trash, In order to determine their suitability on yield, total carbohydrate, protein, fat, crude fibre and ash content of the product. Soybean straw showed significantly highest yield (730.17 g/kg and 73.01% Biological Efficiency) with maximum protein content (23.02%). Significantly maximum moisture (88.63%) and crude fiber content (7.43%) was recorded in Pleurotus florida which was cultivated on soybean and groundnut straw, respectively. Maximum total carbohydrate (56.27%) was recorded on wheat straw, while maximum fat (2.86%) and ash content (7.04%) were measured when the mushroom was cultivated on groundnut straw.
