An attempt was made to study the diversity of spider fauna (Arachnlda: Araneae) In the rice agro-ecosystem of Mahabubnagar district. In all, 694 spider specimens, belonging to 20 genera and 10 families were collected. The values of diversity Indices, such as Shannon diversity Index (H’) (2.512 and 2.612), Simpson's Index (0.115 and 0.087), Plelou's evenness Index (0.708 and 0.721), Margalef species richness Index (2.63 and 2.51), during Kharif and rabbi seasons respectively, revealed homogeneous distribution pattern of spider fauna.
