Astudy was undertaken to find out the effect of various concentrations of GA3 and soaking periods on seed germination and seedling growth of custard apple. The experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with three replications. The result obtained during present Investigation clearly showed that there were significant differences with respect to effect of different concentrations of GA3 and soaking period on seed germinatlon. The germination percentage was maximum with the seed treatment of GA3 at 400 ppm 12 hrs (71.87%). Regarding duration of soaking, soaking of seeds for 24 to 48 hrs resulted into maximum germination percentage of the seedlings. It was observed that soaking of seeds in GA3(400 ppm) for 12 hrs gave maximum germination percentage (71.87%) and seedling height (40.93 cm). Thus, it can be concluded that seed treatment of GA3@ 400 ppm for 12–24 hrs resulted into higherseedgermlnation of custard apple seedlings.
