Diversity and taxonomy of diatoms from Kot Dam, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan (India)

Systematic study on diatom flora of the Kot Dam, District Jhunjhunu, Shekhawati region in north-east part of Rajasthan was undertaken during present investigation. For this purpose,algal samples from different habitats of Kot Dam were collected over a period of 12 months i.e. from July 2019 to June 2020. In all 51 species of 14 genera viz. Cymbella (6), Fragilaria (2), Navicula (9), Nitzschia (9), Amphora (5), Gomphonema (10), Synendra (3), Diadesmis (1), Gyrosigma (1), Bacillaria (1), Diatoma (1), Halamphora (1), Cyclotella (1) and Calonies (1) were enumerated morph-taxonomically.
