Physico-chemical characters of three ponds in Kota, Rajasthan

Present study was undertaken during 2020-2021 in collaboration with the regional office of Rajasthan state pollution control board, Kota, Rajasthan. During this study, water samples were collected from Sultanpur, Ganeshganj and Ayana ponds and their physico-chemical parameters (temperature, pH, electric conductivity, dissolving oxygen, BOD, COD, total alkalinity, Cl and NO³) were analysed. Variations in the quantities of these parameters were observed, among different locations. so that ecology and environment of the pond is also different and this study is useful to control the physico-chemical and biological condition of water.
