Iochroma arborescens (L.) J.M.H. Shaw. is an invasive species which was recorded for the first time in Kodaikanal Wildlife Sanctuary (Tamil Nadu). This species has been recently recorded from Kerala state, and it is now extended to Tamil Nadu state, occupying forest areas. The species is briefly described with plant images, distribution as well as taxonomic and ecological notes.
