While exploring Jalgaon flora during the year 2020-2021, the authors came across some specimens of Afrohybanthus. After literature survey and critical observations it was confirmed as Afrohybanthus stellaroides (Domin) Flicker, which differs from A. enneaspemus (L.) Flicker. This species has been reported as a new species to the flora of Jalgaon district of Khandesh region. Ecology, Brief Description, flowering and fruiting have been provided in this communication.
