Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are one of the most helpful organism which shows symbiotic association with plants and increase the nutrient uptake. The aim of present investigation was to find out the effect of Glomus intraradices on growth of Coleus forskohlii a medicinal plant. The plants of Coleus, grown in association with Glomus intraradices showed increased growth with more number of leaves as compared to control. Percent root colonization and spore count was highest in the plants treated with high concentration of AM spores i.e. 1000 spores per pot. The result indicates that inoculation of mycorrhiza significantly increases the plant growth and biomass production.
