Abstract

Nanoparticles (NPs) Zinc Sulfide (ZnS) were synthesized using lemon juice. The structural properties of the synthesized Nanoparticles were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX) and UVvisible spectroscopy (UV-VIS). It was revealed that the nanoparticles were cubical having crystal size of 2.18 nm, and particle size of around 12 nm. Antimicrobial studies of nanoparticles reveled antimicrobial property against gram-positive S. aureus.
