Abstract

Diversity of rhizosphere soil fungi of Banana fields in different seasons and different places of Dhule district was studied by using serial dilution method. Physico-chemical properties of soil in the form of pH, temperature, moisture, alkalinity, SOC, SOM, Available N, K, S, Mg, S, P and Ca were also analysed. The nutrient content of soil was low, with negative impact on rhizosphere fungal population. The rhizosphere fungal diversity was higher in Shirpur and Sakri as compare to Dhule and Shindkheda Tahasil. There was correlation between physico-chemical properties of the soil and rhizosphere fungal population. The dominant rhizosphere fungi in Banana fields were Aspergillus, Fusarium, Penicillium and Trichoderma sps.
