An experiment was carried out to study the effect of manures prepared from Lantana camara L. on the yield of spinach. The use of manures resulted in enhanced productivity. Application of Lantana vermicompost was found to be more effective in increasing the yield of spinach, followed by the use of dry leaf powder, NADEP, Bangalore pit composts, and green manure. All forms of manures also improved chlorophyll, ascorbic acid, β carotene and other nutrients in spinach.
