Casearia championii Thw., Enum belongs to family Flacourtiaceae and it is commonly called as Hadmodi.. The leaves of this plant are used in the treatment of bone fracture. During present investigation HPTLC fingerprinting of the leaf extracts was undertaken, which. showed nine peaks indicating the presence of nine different compounds. These peaks indicated presence of flavonoids, polyphenols and alkaloids, which may be used as biochemical markers.
