The study was conducted for socio- economic development of the fishermen women. Ahmedpur Dist. Latur (M.S.), from June-2019 to May-2020. Fourty fishermen women were randomly selected. Data were Collected from these respondent women's as personal interview, case study and observations. It was observed that only 9 % fishermen women directly performed fish marketing and sales to co-operate their husbands for fishing activity. Remaining fishermen women were working as agriculture labour in farm. Hence, no one was undertaking manual work for manufacturing and mending the nets. Though, fishing was the primary business of the fishermen, role of women was minimum. The literacy among respondent women was very poor, majority of them were uneducated and illiterate. The study thus indicated opportunities to the women's of this area for fisheries entrepreneurship.
