Aquaponics is an advance integrated agri-aquaculture system of food production, where nutrients available from the fish culture are utilised for plant's growth. Present study was undertaken to study the growth performance of Tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus) along with mint plants in aquaponics, employing nutrient film technique (NFT). Three units of NFT aquaponics systems were designed by using cement tank PVC pipes. Tilapia were stocked at a density of 150 fishes/m3 and the mint was planted in PVC pipe. respectively. The survival of 90.67 ± 1.76 % was achieved for Tilapia in NFT aquaponic system, during the 90 days of rearing provided good results and the study revealed that Tilapia can be considered as potential candidate for culturing in aquaponic system.
