Abstract

Rhizospheric soil samples were collected from wilt affected soybean fields across Risod taluka, India. F. oxysporum was isolated from the samples through single spore technique. It was identified and characterized with the help of colony characteristics. To evaluate anti-fungal activity of Dashparni leaf extract against fungal pathogen, crude extracts of the leaves from 10 medicinal viz. Azadirachta indica, Trida procumbens, Viter negundo, Tinospora cordifolia, Annona squamo, Sapongamia pinnata, L., Nerium oleander, Calotropis gigantea, Jatropha curcas L., and Carica papaya L. were prepared. Anti-fungal activity was determined by undertaking agar well diffusion assay, wherein it was found to be efficient in inhibiting the fungi.
