Aphids are the major pests found on different plants causing considerable damage to the host plant. Though several chemical pesticides are available for their control, there use is deleterious, and hence in recent days different types of bio-pesticides are being used. During present investigation a “Herbal pesticide” was formulated and used to control aphids (Aphis nerii) present on the leaves of Calotropis gigantea. This novel pesticide, prepared by using garlic, camphor, honey and lemon juice, was proved as a good alternative to chemical pesticides.
