Healthy seeds of cluster bean were treated with different concentrations of SA (0.01, 0.02, 0.03%) and EMS (0.1, 0.2 and 0.3%). A steady reduction in germination rate and survival of the treated population was observed with the increasing concentration of mutagens, except 0.1 %. EMS which was more effective than other concentrations.
