Abstract

It was discovered that Hyophila involuta follows a pattern for effective establishment by green protonemata from gemma, spreading across an area, giving caulonemal filaments, just like other mosses. Gametophore buds were visible emerging from caulonemal cells, which are typically found close to the oblique septum.
