Study of some macrofungi in Mantha region (M.S.)

Present communication deals with collection, identification, characterization and preservation of macrofungi from Mantha, District Jalna (M.S.). During collection of mushrooms their size, length, coloure, gills, habitat, season, host were recorded. Morphological study of six mushrooms was carried out with respect to thallus dimension, spore dimension, spore color, substrate, edibility, botanical name and common name. The mushrooms thus collected were preserved. in jar containing 4% formalin solution.
