Abstract

In India only 2 species of Riccia grow under aquatic environment, which include Riccia fluitans L. as one of them. However, its identity was doubtful because the sporophyte structure is rarely seen in the specimens. Present study reports this species from Khandesh region of Maharashtra state, along with archegonia, sporophyte and spores.
