Abstract

Present study was carried out to confirm nutritive valueof fresh milk from five different farm animals such as buffalo, Goat, and Jersey, Gir, and Desi breeds of cow. For this purpose the milk samples of these animals were analysed to determine pH,acidity, specific density, solid non-fat content, fat, and protein. The results obtained during present investigation on physicochemical properties of milk samples confirmed the nutritive value of cow breeds like Desi, Gir, jersey, and other domestic animals like buffalo and goat as similar to those reported by previous studies.
