The current study was conducted in the month of May 2022 to assess the soil fertility status of the Jam River basin, (Sinnar, Sangamner and Kopargaon Tehsil) using GPS-GIS technologies. Using ArcGIS software, the analogue soil fertility. maps at a scale of 1:50000 were georeferenced and digitalized. The outcomes were divided into three categories using a six-tier rating system: low, medium and high. The pH of the soil in the research area found from 6.9 to 9.5, whereas EC ranged from 0.12 to 9.78 dS m-1, Organic carbon from 0.41 to 1.91 per cent. Boron from 0.06 to 1.11 ppm., Copper content from 0.11 to 5.52 ppm, Zinc from 0.03 to 1.77 ppm. ferrous content from 0.04 to 12.36 ppm. and Manganese from 1.60 to 21.86 ppm. The soils were found deficient in ferrous and the boron elements. The farming community in the research region will benefit from the maps produced during present study, which will make it easier for them to employ fertilizers for different crops.
