Abstract

Present investigation was undertaken on isolation, culturing and taxonomic studies of soil-borne hyphomycetes from Ambad Tehsil of Jalna District.. The fungi were cultured on Oatmeal Agar, Czapek-Dox Agar (CZA), Richard’s Agar, and Potato Dextrose Agar. Hyphal structure, conidiophore morphology, conidia size and appearance, and distinctive characteristics of specific species were observed. It was observed that Alternaria altemata, Aspergillus, and Penicillium exhibited specific cultural characteristics useful for that aid in their identification.
