Ethnoveterinary medicinal plants from Marathwada (M.S.) India

Abstract

The aim of present paper is to provide traditional knowledge on medicinal plants from Jalna and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district of Marathwada, used for the treatment of the diseases prevalent in domesticated animal. For this purpose the rural people of this region were interviewed through a questionnaire, and extensive field surveys were conducted during July 2022 to July 2024. The discussion were conducted with villagers, during which 30 plant species, representing 30 genera and. 22 families were were reported. The information on genus, species, family, local names, plant parts being used for medication, drug preparation and mode of administration was collected and delivered in this paper.
