Freshwater fish Labeo rohita were exposed to two different concentrations of insecticide Emamectin Benzoate (EB). The 96 hour LC0 and LC50 of EB for L. rohita were determined to be 0.58 ppm and 0.83 ppm respectively. Histological alterations were characterized by haemorrhage, necrosis, pyknotic nuclei and degeneration of hepatocytes, whereas control group showed normal hepatocytes.
