Abstract

Present study was undertaken to study the effect of Methylxanthine’s (Caffiene) 10.0% (Bonus) on growth and yield contributing parameters of soybean. For this purpose, a field trial was undertaken following randomized block design with six treatments and four replications. The growth regulator was sprayed at 15 days interval on 30, 45 and 60 DAS. Plant height, number of branches, 50% flowering, maturity, dry matter accumulation, seed yield, biological yield, straw yield and harvest index were recorded. It was observed that there was significant increase in the growth of soybean due to the application of 10.0% Bonus @ 12.50 ml per 15 litre water (T5). However, it decreased with the increase in concentration.
