Pterospermum rubiginosum B. Heyne ex G.Don is a tall evergreen tree, endemic to the southern Western Ghats and Assam. The authors have collected specimens from three locations in Courtallum, Karayar in Papanasam (Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu) and Wayanad (Kerala). As the available botanical description is incomplete, it has been provided herewith.
