Present study reports prevalence of cerumen types in two endogamous Mongoloid populations namely Karbi and Dimasa, from Assam. The cerumen types of these two populations were compared with those of other populations. Mongoloid populations showed higher frequency of the dry cerumen. In general, dry allele was found to be more common than the wet allele in both Karbi and Dimasa populations.
