Abstract

Two species of Pleurotus (P. sajor kaju and P. florida) were grown on different agricultural wastes comprising of Vigna mungo as a substrate. The yield and biological efficiencies of these two species, cultivated on Vigna mungo agricultural wastes.was determined. It was observed that P. sajor kaju gave maximum yield as compared to P. florida. Thus, Pleurotus sajor-caju was found to be the best oyster mushroom species for maximum yield.
