Field study was conducted in the sugarcane plantations located in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra during kharif seasons of from 2022 and 2023, in Randomized Block Design consisting of three replications, and four treatments viz., T1: Untreated Control, T2: Tembotrione 42% SC + Ametryne 80 % WDG, T3: Tembotrione 42 % SC + Diuron 80 % WP, T4: Ametryne 80 % WDG + 2,4-D Amine salt 58 % SL. At the experimental sites, the weed population comprised 70% broad-leaved and 30 % grass weeds. Amaranthus viridis, Parthenium hysterophorus, Physalis minima, Ipomoea indica, Euphorbia hirta, Echinochloa colona, and Setaria viridis were the dominant weeds. Although all herbicides showed significant effect over untreated control, the most effective treatment was T4: Ametryne 80% WDG + 2,4-D Amine Salt 58% SL, which resulted in weed control efficiency (WCE) of 98.06%. Tembotrione exhibited synergistic effect with Ametryne and Diuron and can be recommended for controlling diverse weed flora associated with sugarcane.
