In Vitro Cytotoxicity of Taxus Wallichiana Zucc. Against Dalton’s Lymphoma Cells

Abstract

Methanol extract of Taxus wallichiana exhibited the presence of important phytoconstituents such as carbohydrates, proteins, phenols, tannins, triterpenoids, terpenoids, alkaloids, glycosides, polyphenols, flavonoids, saponins, and steroids. It also exhibited in vitro cytotoxicity in case of Dalton's Lymphoma (DL) cells compared to the reference drug cisplatin, as indicated with a low IC50 value. Thus, research efforts during the present study depicted the in vitro cytotoxic potency of T. wallichiana extract against DL cell line.
