Abstract

The fruits, leaves, and bark of Ficus racemosa L. were extracted in water, ethanol, and chloroform, and those were analyzed for antimicrobial, antioxidant, and hemolytic properties. All of the eaf extracts exhibited significant antibacterial activity, with MIC values of 15.625 µg/ml against E. coli and B. megaterium. Water and chloroform leaf extracts showed 7.8125 µg/ml MIC against M. tuberculosis. All extracts demonstrated moderate to strong DPPH and hydroxyl (OH) radical scavenging activities and exhibited no cytotoxic effects on human red blood cells.
