In traditional medicinal system proper identification and characterization of the medicinal plants plays an important role, hence, present study was undertaken to characterize Commelina benghalensis L. a medicinal plant, used by hakims of Amravati District, (M.S). as antipyretic agent. During present investigation morphological and anatomical studies on this plant were undertaken.
