An experiment was conducted to study the effect of manures prepared from Chromolaena odorata (L.) R.M.King & H.Rob. on the yield and nutritional value of spinach. Application of Chromolaena vermicompost was found to be more effective in increasing the yield of spinach, followed by compost prepared in pit with use of organic formulations. Lowest yield was recorded in control plots which did not received any manures or fertilizers. Synthetic fertilizers, however, showed their superiority in increasing the yield of spinach. The manures prepared from Chromolaena weed improved chlorophyll, ascorbic acid, β carotene content in the leaves of spinach.
