Phoretic association of uropoda orbicularis (Muller, 17776) (Acari: Mesostigmata) with beetles (iNSECTA : Coleoptera) in Maharashtra India

Abstract

Deutonymphs of Uropoda orbicularis (Muller, 1776) were reported to be associated with Hybosorus orientalis (Coleoptera: Hybosoridae) and Onitis philemon (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae). The first report of this phoretic mite species was revealed from Maharashtra, India, and is accompanied by scanning electron micrographs and its morphometry.
