Abstract

Present investigation was undertaken to find out vitamin C and TDS contents in ten varieties of lemon from upper Brahmaputra region, Assam. Highest vitamin C (0.872 g/100 ml) was found in Citrus aurantifolia (white pulp), while highest TDS (16.1 g /100ml) was found in Citrus limetta. The Pearson Correlation Coefficient between pH and Vitamin C content was found to be -0.841, which confirmed strong negative relationship between the two variables.
