Present paper reports a new distributional record for the flora of Maharashtra State: Platostoma hispidum (L.) A. J. Paton (Lamiaceae), collected from the forest of Northern Western Ghats, Nashik District, Maharashtra State.. The plant is commonly found at elevations of up to 700–780 meters above sea level, along the trails of evergreen forests and on the upper slopes of hills. To verify the authenticity of the species, herbarium, taxonomic descriptions, colour photographic plates, and various floras were referred.
