A comprehensive botanical report of Lepidagathis mitis Dalzell (Acanthaceae) has been given in this communication including its extension in the northern Western Ghat. The habitat, vegetation, population, and morphology have also been included. A critical taxonomic study, encompassing both macroscopic and microscopic observations, along with a basic survey of accessible references, reveals that it is found as a range extension and a new distributional record of the Indian endemic species.
