Ipomoea cairica (L.) Sweet var. appendiculata (Convolvulaceae) has been recently discovered as a new variety from Kerala, was first time collected from Chandrapur District of Maharashtra. Present collection is reported as a new record to the flora of Maharashtra, India. A detailed description, photographs are provided to easy identification.
