Comparative study of mycoflora associated with some solanaceous vegetables.

Abstract

Fruit samples of Chilli, Tomato and Brinjal were collected from Satara and examined for associated mycoflora by humid chamber and agar plate methods. In all, 13 genera with 51 species of fungi were found to be associated with the fruits. Among them Aspergillus (16), Fusarium (9), Alternaria (7), Rhizopus (6), Cladosporium (3) and 2 species each of Mucor, Penicillium and one each of Actinomucor, Corynespora, Colletotrichum, Choanephora, Drechslera, Scoleceobasidiella were reported.
