Abstract

Field experiments conducted during 2001–2007 indicated that intercropping systemofcotton +soybean (2:4) was significantlysuperior than cotton +pigeonpea (2:1), cotton + blackgram (2:4) and sole cotton, blackgram and pigeonpea but it was at par with sole cropping of soybean. Cotton seed yield was not reduced when it was cultivated with soybean. It was however reduced when grown with pige0npea.
