The present paper deals with the study of 7 species of ascomycetous fungi belonging to the order-Dothideales (Loculoascomycetes). These are Didymella umbelliteracum Bauml., Mycosphaerella euphorbiae Nissler ex Sehrot (Mycosphaerellaceae), Dietyothyrium hironymi(Rehm.) Bat., Micropeltis aqualies Syd., M. erysiphoides Rehm. and Hedw., M. umblicate Mont. and Stomiopeltis suttoniae (Mendoza) Luttrell (Micropeltidaceae) belonging to Pseudosphaeriinae. All these fungi have been collected on different angiospermic hosts from different localities of Westem Ghats. These 7 species have been recorded for the first time from India.
